Our District Governor Lion Ilkka Ahola & his lovely wife Sisko with us for their annual visitation...

The upper three photos show our Club enjoying a great meal and good conversation. We had our Lion Tail Twister challenge us for donations to World Vision. The challenge was to match his $50 donation. We did it and collected $186. This will buy us a goat, 2 hens and a rooster.

The photos show our District Governor Ilkka speaking of his thoughts as the leader of our District A711.

Of course we all know that no self respecting Lions Club would not attempt to take advantage of his good nature... Please see the next photo section...

Above left: Our Lion District Governor was asked in induct our 3 new Lady Lions. Here the service is starting...

Above centre: Lion PDG Armin Bruer assisted in letting us know all about Melvin Jones and the founding of Lionsim. Two other Lions - Lion Niles, Lion Rob and Lion Chief Dolores also discussed other areas of our Lions Club.

Upper right: Lion Raya lights her candle in this candle ceremony.

Bottom left: we also have Lion Andree and lower right: Lion Barbara lighting their candles.

As we mentioned earlier - we made him work for his dinner.

We thank the District Governor Lion Ilkka Ahola and his lovely wife Sisko for coming out to our Club.

All in all an excellent meeting and a very big thank you to our guests...

You will note that all Lions and their guests were all smiling. That was due to the photos being taken before everyone started to wager on the horses...

On Sunday October 16, 2011 - The Mississauga Credit Valley Lions Club did it again.

As we have in the past for many years we have supported the Oakville Blind Car Rally.

This year as in the past we had two drivers - well not exactly we had two navigators.

Top photo is of Lion Charles Garnet & his driver who took "modestly we say" the FIRST PLACE.

The lower photo is of our navigator Lion Clelia D'Orazio and her driver Diane Fowlie who again "modestly we say" took SECOND PLACE.

Bottom right: Lion Merv's beautiful sculptures in wood that were used as draw prizes.

Top right: Our bar tender Kevin, helped us enjoy the evening. We also had Tim and Mark in the kitchen, our servers were Chris, Boris and Anthony and Benny was supervisor on duty at the Markland Wood Golf Course.

Lions and their partners enjoying an evening of fellowship, good food and drink.

Later our master of ceremonies Lion Ed lead us all in Carol singing.

On July 1 , 2011 History will be made. We will swear in our FIRST female Lion Dolores as our President.

These pictures are from the regular meeting held on Monday November 22, 2010 Note that Lion Dolores was acting Lion Chief at that meeting.

Good luck Lion Dolores

A typical meeting at our club.

We had a guest speaker - Margaret Anderson from Ian Anderson House in Mississauga. This is a hospice that we have supported for many years. Her speach was very enlightening and discussed the fact that they have assisted over 1,100 individuals that needed their help since theyu opened.

Lion Ray had the honour of presenting a cheque for our donation to their hospice.

Please keep up the great work!

On the left we have Lion Merv getting ready to take over the tailtwister role. We also see Lion Ken being questioned - similar to the inquisition!.

Our tail twister Merv in action again with a car race! On the far left we see the Lion Chief Eric discussing the propulsion method (elastic band) of the small racing cars that Lion Merv built. With our Chief was Lion Dolores & Lion tailtwister Merv.

Left the race is on with Lions Gerrie & Ross battling for the win.

The winners were camera shy - both Lion Johns were 1 & 2 with Lion Dolores closing up in 3rd.

Past District Governor Robert (Bob) Emond had the houour of having a street named after him at Camp Trillium in early June, 2010.

The street is named Robert Emond Street and as you see in the pictures Lion Bob is trully taken back by the experience.  This is the result of many many years of dedication and service to Camp Trillium.

Congratulations Lion Bob...
