Lion Arthur Price was a member of the Credit Valley Lions Club and left to create this new Lions Club. He gathered 38 non Lions and created the new club with the Charter night meeting held on April 8, 1959 This meeting was held at the Credit Valley Golf & Country Club.

The original Club was called the Erindale Lions Club but was renamed in the 1970's (after the City of Mississauga was created) to be known as the Lions Club of Erindale - Mississauga. The meetings were held at tSt. Peters United Church in Erindale.
